Scrap Sofa with Deployable Rockers

Haven’t you ever wanted to sit on a rocking chair with someone?… and have it be as comfy as a sofa at the same time? . . . . . Well I did. So I built one.

The undeserving of a proper name ‘Scrap Sofa with Deployable Rockers’ was a brute of a piece of furniture in my MA/MSc studio in London. While not known for its looks, it was the most desired seat due to it’s comfort, functionality, and fun-fidgitabile-rock.

It was most aptly described by one of my professors “It’s… like a bad B-Movie.. It’s just awful.. But for some reason, I love it, and I’ll always go for it before anything else in the room”
